How We Work

Every story and message begins with an idea. Our role is to help you find what matters, shape it with purpose and bring it to life.

Whether we're preserving a family history, sharing a community story or helping a business communicate with clarity and impact, the process is collaborative, considered and tailored to your needs.

1

Start the Conversation

We'll talk about what you want to create, who it's for, what you hope to communicate or preserve, and what matters most to you.

For businesses and leaders, this might mean developing a keynote speech, refining a core message, preparing for an important presentation or finding a clearer way to communicate your organisation's story.

It's also an opportunity to make sure Domm is the right fit for your project.

2

Shape the Project

Once we understand what you're looking for, we'll establish the scope, approach, timeline and intended outcome.

Every project is different. A family history requires a different approach from a conference keynote, just as an organisational message has different needs from a founder's story.

We'll work together to determine what will best serve your audience, your objectives and the message you want to deliver.

3

Gather the Story

This is where the storytelling begins.

For family history and community projects, this may involve guided interviews, conversations, photographs, documents and other materials that help bring the story to life.

For businesses and leaders, it involves gathering the ideas, experiences, insights and messages that need to be communicated. This may include conversations with key people, background research, existing materials and an understanding of the audience and occasion.

For speechwriting and presentations, the goal is to uncover what needs to be said, why it matters and how to express it in a way that feels authentic to the speaker.

Most interviews are conducted remotely, allowing you to share your story from the comfort of your own home. Following our initial consultation, we'll recommend the recording approach best suited to your project. In-person recording is available by arrangement for selected projects.

4

Find the Story

The raw material is carefully reviewed, organised and shaped.

We look for the moments, themes, ideas and details that give a story meaning or make a message resonate. The aim is to find the heart of what needs to be communicated without losing the voice and perspective of the person, business or community at its centre.

For business communications, this means bringing clarity and structure to complex ideas, identifying the messages that matter most and finding the right way to connect with your audience.

Whether we're developing a keynote, shaping a founder's story or refining leadership messaging, the result should feel purposeful, authentic and distinctly yours.

5

Create

This is where the story or message takes its final form.

Depending on the project, this might be an edited oral history, family-history video, community story, written narrative, keynote speech, conference presentation or leadership communication.

For business clients, this may involve writing a speech, developing a presentation, refining key messages or bringing an organisation's story to life.

The creative process is collaborative, with opportunities to review the work and provide feedback throughout the agreed project.

6

Deliver

Once the project is complete, you'll receive your finished work in the agreed format.

That might be a story to share with future generations, a community history to preserve, a speech ready to deliver or a presentation designed to communicate your ideas with confidence and impact.

Whatever the project, the goal is the same: to create something meaningful, purposeful and worth remembering.

Stories that matter. Messages that make a difference.
