Why I Started Domm Communications
Stories have always fascinated me — the moments that shape us, the challenges we overcome, the places we come from, and the experiences that make us who we are.
I'm Angel, Founder & Creative Director of Domm Communications, and I believe every person, family, organisation, and community has a story worth preserving.
I have always been drawn to stories about people: stories of resilience, of moving countries, of building businesses, overcoming challenges, and the moments that often go unnoticed but shape a life. I often think about what would happen if those stories were lost — the memories, lessons, and experiences that future generations would never know. That belief inspired me to create Domm Communications, a boutique storytelling studio dedicated to uncovering, preserving, and sharing meaningful stories.
I work with individuals, families, organisations, and communities to transform experiences into narratives that connect with people today and endure for generations.
Whether I'm recording someone's family history, uncovering the story behind a community project, writing a speech, or helping an organisation communicate its purpose, my goal remains the same: to help people share their stories with authenticity, clarity, and heart.
I believe every story deserves to be treated with care. That means listening deeply, asking thoughtful questions, and creating work that reflects the people behind the story with honesty and respect.
Today, Domm Communications partners with those who want more than a finished product — they want to preserve something meaningful. Together, we create stories that honour legacies, strengthen communities, and communicate what matters most.

A few things about me.
Based in Wellington, New Zealand, I am a creative writer, communications professional, and interviewer with a passion for preserving stories.
I believe stories are everywhere — in conversations, old photographs, personal histories, life experiences and the moments that shape who we become.
When I'm not recording stories, writing, helping with a speech or presentation, you'll often find me with a notebook, a hot chocolate, and a good conversation — some of my favourite creative tools.
